Planner is a new feature that gives teams full control over how research is conducted in Amass. Rather than going directly from a question to an answer, Planner creates an intermediate step: a structured research plan that teams can review, edit, and refine before any output is generated.
When a team starts a new plan by describing a goal or question, the system generates a research strategy broken down into clear sections and topics. Each topic includes a description, specific questions to address, and suggested data sources. The layout is optimized for overview and collaboration, similar to templates but with more flexibility.
The Planner interface has two main areas:
As teams make changes or run the plan, Planner tracks progress across versions. Teams can view the current output, review the data sources and context used, and go back to previous versions. Adding a new section after reviewing initial output generates a new version, making it straightforward to iterate and improve the research without losing earlier work.
